Horsetail herb's name is believed to derive from the branchy species that look a bit like a ponytail.

Dried and cut horsetail herb is most commonly used to make tea. Pour boiling water over 2 teaspoons per cup (250 ml) and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes, depending on taste.
