Cranberries, dried
Dried cranberries have a sweet and slightly tart taste. In North America, Native Americans were the first to use cranberries. Apart from being a food source, they often used them as a source of red dye. Europeans later called them "bearberries" because bears liked to eat them.
The dried cranberries can be eaten raw or added to smoothies, granola, cookies and cakes. The dried cranberries are great for making Thanksgiving sauce.
